Originally, Marty was a banker but always wanted to be a teacher since she was a kid.  She found herself in training roles while working at the bank and decided to get certified to be a teacher like she has always wanted.

What is her favorite thing about teaching?

Two things

  1. When the “light bulb” goes off and she can see a kid figure it out
  2. The relationships you form with the kids as you help them on their journey

What is her proudest moment as a teacher?

One of her proudest moments is when a previous student had a low score on his English EOC test, and Marty was able to work with him to bring his score up.  Another proud moment was when Windsor hosted STUCO state and the entire state was able to see Windsor students shine–the way she always gets to see them shine.
