Mike Alvarado

Where is he from?

Coach Alvarado graduated from Windsor in 2009.  He attended Windsor for grades K – 12.  

Where did he go to college?

After high school, he attended Southeast Missouri State, studying PE and coaching. He then transferred to Harris Stowe,  where he played soccer.  After college, Alvarado spent four years in the Air National Guard.  

How long has he been at Windsor?

Alvarado has been an employee for Windsor for the past four years.  

What is his athletic background?

In high school, Alvarado played soccer, basketball, ran track and was on the golf team.  In college, he played soccer.   

What is his favorite thing about coaching?

His favorite part of coaching is seeing the kids develop over the years.  

What is his proudest moment as a coach/teacher?

Alvarado has not been coaching very long, and although he is proud of all the kids he has coached, he does not feel his proudest moment has happened yet.  He is looking forward to this year’s district tournament to see what the soccer team can accomplish.  

Does he have a family of his own yet?

Alvarado says is too young for a family, but he does have a black lab named Kobe.  

What is his favorite movie & food?

Alvarado loves any movie that is a comedy and has a hard time picking just one; his favorite food is BBQ.
