Where is he from?

Montgomery is originally from DeSoto.

Where did he go to college?

He attended college at Southeast Missouri State University

How long has he been at Windsor?

This is Montgomery’s thirteenth year at Windsor. Prior to teaching at Windsor, he spent five years at Fox.  

What is his athletic background?

In high school, he played baseball, basketball, and football. Over his career, he has coached baseball, basketball, football, golf and softball.  

What is his favorite thing about coaching?

Montgomery enjoys the relationships with the players and getting to know them in a different aspect from the classroom.  He really enjoys the thrill of sports and the life lessons the kids learn via sports such as facing adversity and work ethic.  

What is his proudest moment as a coach/teacher?

He is most proud when something happens for a kid that has never happened before as a result of their hard work and dedication, such as when a player gets their first hit.  He was also proud when the softball program reached 100 wins and had back-to-back conference championships.  

How many are in his family?

Wayne is married to his wife, Jennifer, and has two kids–Jack and Ella.  

What is his favorite movie & food?

His favorite movie is Star Wars and his favorite food is pretzels, specifically Rold Gold.
