Taylor Richey became the first Windsor track athlete to be named conference MVP since Brendan Campbell in 2013.

Taylor Richey is officially the MVP.

After running away with the 100m, 200m and 400m, Richey also took second in the long jump on Thursday. The 38 team points tied her with Ann Heacock from Jefferson R-7. Richey and Heacock were named Co-MVP’s of the 2017 JCAA Conference Track Meet.

Richey ran a personal best 12.51 in the 100m.

She wasn’t the only standout for the Owls. Senior Nicole Barton tied the JCAA conference record by going 10-feet-6 inches in pole vault. Both Richey and Barton are returning state qualifiers for the Owls.
