Where is he from?

Coach Young went to Eureka High School and grew up in Fenton.

Where did he go to college?

Young graduated from Southeast Missouri State with his undergraduate degree and completed his master’s degree at the  University of Missouri-St. Louis.  

How long has he been at Windsor?

Young is in his 16th year at Windsor. Prior to coming to Windsor, Young taught at Crystal City for eight years and in Kentucky for two years.  

What is his athletic background?

Young played football, basketball and baseball while at Eureka.  

What is his favorite thing about coaching?

His favorite thing about coaching is interaction with the other coaches and his players.  

What is his proudest moment as a coach/teacher?

Young has two moments that stand out:

  1. Winning the 2000 state baseball championship at Crystal City
  2. Young had a team at Windsor that was young and unproven five years ago and they went undefeated in conference play and won the conference championship

How many are in his family?

Coach has a wife, Becky, and two kids–a son,Trenton, and a daughter, Payton.  

What is his favorite movie & food?

Young’s favorite movie is Bull Durham and his favorite food is Mexican.
