Chris Krueger

Where is he from?

Krueger was born and raised in the Overland area up north by Lambert Airport. He went to a private school, All Souls, kindergarten to sixth grade, and then transferred to Ritenour Middle School in his seventh grade year and graduated from Ritenour High School in 1999.

Where did he go to college?

He earned his Bachelor of Education from Southeast Missouri State University. He received his master of Educational Administration from Missouri Baptist University.

How long has he been at Windsor?

This is his 13th year at Windsor.  He started as the middle school ISS teacher for two and a half years. He then taught P.E. at the intermediate center for two years. He has been in his current role as the middle school P.E. teacher for the last eight years.

What is his athletic background?

Growing up, he played baseball and soccer.  When he got to high school, he concentrated on soccer only.

What is his favorite thing about coaching?

His favorite thing about coaching is watching the players develop into a strong team as the season progresses.  He said, “It doesn’t happen every year, but when you get a group that can come together for the sake of playing a good team game, believe in the process and win, it’s unbelievable.”

What is his proudest moment as a coach/teacher?

He has two moments. His first is a soccer moment that was being part of the 2012 varsity team that went to the quarterfinals.  His second was during basketball that came when he was coaching the freshmen team in 2010.  They only had nine boys and they worked extremely hard every day. They ended up 8-8 that year and never won or lost a game by more than eight points.  Those boys were the true definition of hard work and teamwork. They made everyday an absolute thrill to come to practice or a game.

Who is in his family?

He has been married to Rebecca Krueger for three years. Together they have a two-year-old daughter named Charlotte. They also have two dogs named Alvin & Simon.

What is his favorite movie & food?

His favorite foods are pizza, tacos, and soft pretzels.  His favorite movie is Remember The Titans.
