In the fall and the spring, sophomore Tim Cossey participates in football and track at Windsor.
However, he also has other skills that he utilizes year round. In his spare time, he is also a talented billiards player.
“My step dad introduced me to it and I really enjoyed it so I just kept on playing more and more,” Cossey said. “Pool is very competitive. In my opinion, it is more competitive than a lot of other sports.”
Cossey plays regularly at Kenny’s Bar and Grill in Barnhart. But he also sometimes plays at other venues.
“I have made close to $5000 playing in tournaments around the country,” Cossey said. ”My best performance was when I went undefeated to win a tournament that had 128 players.”
While Cossey is busy participating in activities at Windsor, he enjoys playing in his free time.
“I don’t see myself doing this for the rest of my life because I want to go into trade school,” Cossey said.
For now, Cossey plans on enjoying the competitive nature of the game.
Cossey said, “I think pool is the most competitive out of a lot of sports, even the ones you would think would be way more competitive.”
