Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love, connection, and creating unforgettable memories. While the holiday means something different to everyone, we wanted to dive into what makes the perfect Valentine’s Day date. From dreamy getaways to simple, heartfelt moments, we interviewed several students and staff to find out what their ideal romantic day looks like. Whether they’re envisioning grand gestures or cozy evenings, these dream dates offer a glimpse into the diverse ways love is celebrated today.
Junior Lucas Mueller said, “My dream Valentine’s Day date would be in Italy or Germany. They both seem interesting and super cool. When we get to Italy or Germany, we will probably go sightseeing and stay at a villa. I would end the day with a nice date on a picnic, and that’s where I would give her her favorite flowers, and a handwritten letter. That would be awesome.”
Teacher JoAnn Marty said, “I would like for it to be a surprise, but I would take a jet flight to Iceland and watch the northern lights on a balcony with a romantic candle-lit dinner after having visited the volcanoes and glaciers you can go see. Hopefully, I could also get some artwork while I’m there to remember it by.”
Teacher Ashley Hunter said, “I would be at a rock concert, and one of the members would take my hand and bring me up on stage. They would tell me that I’m beautiful in front of everyone. Then they would ask me on a date. After that, I would love to go to an Italian restaurant, and end off with us going to a bookstore where he buys my most wanted books.”
Chloe Watcher said, “My dream Valentine’s Day would definitely be my boyfriend taking me to Disney World. When we get there, we go to Moana’s Way of Water because I love that movie and it would be so romantic. After that, we would go look at the Rapunzel tower in Magic Kingdom. And after all that he would take me to a super nice Italian restaurant. There I would get some pesto pasta and warm fluffy bread.”
