Say goodbye to the paper hall pass.
Welcome to the year 2025, Windsor High School.
Soon, a new hall pass system will be implemented.
The new system will be entirely electronic which carries many benefits. Some of these benefits include being able to monitor hall traffic, consistency and flexibility, and several ways for students to be able to use the system depending on their class.
“Teachers can tailor its use to best suit their needs… the Kiosk Workflow [see image above] may be ideal for PE, Shop, and Art classes, while Student-Led Workflow may be more effective for core subjects,” assistant principal Alex DeMatteis said.
Having this new system also comes with one con; the trial runs. Since the system is so complex, trying to pilot the system during the 2025-2026 school year would be too much of a challenge. Therefore, running the system during summer school will be much more effective. If all goes well, on day one of the 25-26 school year, expect to see a few less notepads of hall passes around each teacher’s desk.
“I personally appreciate the opportunities to implement universal systems within our school…and the E-Hall Pass System offers both consistency and flexibility,” DeMatteis said.
