In the summer of 2021, students, staff and parents of Windsor High School will be going on a trip of a lifetime. From July 13-22, several members of the Windsor community will be taking a trip to Europe.

In this trip, they will travel to London, France and Italy. While there, they will visit Buckingham Palace, the Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles, the Louvre, Ponte Vecchio, St. Francis of Assisi, the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum and much more. The trip will be led by teachers Cindi Maddock and Melissa Pennycook.

Maddock said, “I am so excited to get to share this trip with so many Windsor kids.  I remember traveling to Europe when I was a teenager and it was such an amazing experience.  In addition to the things provided by the travel company, I am going to donate the cost of my trip back into activities and gifts to my travelers.  It is going to be a spectacular adventure for everyone. ”

Sophomore Makenna Lane is one of the students attending the trip.

Lane said, “It’s a great opportunity to experience new things and places that you would not experience here with other students from Windsor High School.”

Out of all of the places they will visit, Lane has several that she can’t wait to see.

Lane said, “I want to see the Colosseum, Eiffel Tower and the Palace of Versailles. I also want to experience the food there.”

The cost of the trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower is not covered by the tour, but this is one of the perks Maddock is paying for.

The two teachers in charge of the trip, Maddock and Pennycook, had an informational meeting a few weeks ago about the trip.  For those that did not attend the meeting, they can email Maddock or Pennycook for the information. They may also visit Maddock’s classroom Google site. There are less than 10 spots left for the trip, so let either of the two teachers know if you plan to attend.  You must talk to one of them before you sign up for the trip.

Maddock said, “We have a great group of kids going on the trip.  July 2021 can’t come soon enough.”
